The 100% Kona coffee is roasted to a full city roast. It comes from the island of Hawaii, also known as the Big Island. Receiving our Kona coffees every year is something we very much look forward to, and this year is no different. This Kona Coffee is well known by over 7 million annual tourists. Thomas Magnum, from the television show Magnum PI, wasn’t without Kona Coffee. In every episode there is the famous Detroit Tigers hat, he’s drinking Kona Coffee, and speeding after the bad guys in a Ferrari.
We thought this would be a great opportunity to outline Kona coffee. Due to the even size after the screening process, coffee can be roasted more evenly, resulting in maximized potential for a sweet, balanced cup. Kona coffee is grown in the fertile soils of the Kona district, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Kona farmers process their cherry at the mills where they work to achieve higher prices for their coffee based on quality,meticulous picking and sorting. Kona has succeeded especially, in achieving a solid reputation for high quality.
